KeepsakeVault exists because your children's memories deserve a home that isn't a social feed, an ad platform, or AI training data. Here's exactly how we protect them.
Who can see your memories
Only you and the vault members you explicitly invite can see your memories. Grandparent share links give read-only access to a curated view — only to people you personally share the link with. No one at KeepsakeVault views your content.
Encryption, in transit and at rest
All media is stored with encryption at rest and in transit. Photos, videos, and audio are hosted on Cloudflare R2, and access requires a time-limited signed URL that expires after 1 hour — so a shared link to an individual file can't be reused or redistributed after it expires. Account and memory metadata is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database powered by Neon.
We never train AI on your content
Your content is yours. We never use your memories, photos, videos, or any personally identifiable information to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. The AI Oracle assistant answers questions about your own vault; it does not feed your family's data back into any model.
No ads. No data sold.
KeepsakeVault makes money from subscriptions, not attention. We don't run ads, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. There's no engagement algorithm deciding what you see — just your family's own timeline, in the order you built it.
Built with children's privacy in mind (COPPA)
KeepsakeVault is designed with children's privacy at its core. Children do not have their own accounts — memories are associated with child profiles managed by their parents or guardians, and we do not collect personal data from children directly.
You control the data
You can export your full memory archive as a PDF journal or media download at any time, delete individual memories, clear your vault's content while keeping your account, or close your account entirely.
