Yes. All media is stored with encryption at rest and in transit. Media files are hosted on Cloudflare R2, and access requires a time-limited signed URL that expires after 1 hour. This means shared links to individual files cannot be reused after they expire.

When you or a family member views a photo or video, KeepsakeVault generates a temporary signed URL that grants access to that file for up to 1 hour. After that, the link is no longer valid. This prevents anyone from saving or redistributing direct media links.

No. Your content is yours. We never use your memories, photos, videos, or any personally identifiable information to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.

What happens when I reach my storage limit on the Free plan?

When you hit 512 MB on the Free plan, new uploads are blocked. You can still view and read all of your existing memories, but you won't be able to add new photos, videos, or audio until you free up space or upgrade to a paid plan.
